Japan Travelogue: Noritake Garden & Hana Yori Dango & LJ (25th of December)

Hi, minna!

Haha, haven't double updated in a while. ^^ So, what happened today?

We got up at around 10am, which is actually not so bad. But then, getting ready takes a while. Even so, as we left about an hour later, it was still really cold and a nasty freezing wind kept blowing. For the first time in Japan I was REALLY happy to have my warm winter jacket with me, but even with it I was still cold out in the wind. Even so we made our way to Nagoya station to finally get a local map and decide what we wanted to do today.

Spiral Tower on the way to the station

It was nice that we could make a rather large part of our way underground, so the wind wasn't so bad there. ^^ We had brunch, checking our map and making plans. It was so cold that I decided I did not want to go out more than I absolutely had to. Actually, I was even considering to go back to the hotel to adjust my dressing according to the weather. But then we saw that the Noritake Garden was really close by and so we decided to go there. It's a larger area, with a park and all, but one of the main attractions is the ceramic crafting factory, where visitors can walk inside the crafting area and watch and learn how porcelain is made. There's a nice walk around the area, where you can watch people working and also watch little films that explain the course of the process. A big attraction is the workshop on the 2nd floor, where you can paint your own cup, or plate and then take it home with you. A very nice idea, but for B.A. and me it would be difficult to transport such an item, so we left this out. (Even though you can also have your pieces shipped home, but that costs a fortune. XD ) Floors 3 and 4 host a very nice museum where you can watch some particularly valuable pieces.

Once we got back out, I decided that if I wanted to stay out when it grew dark, I had to dress properly, after all. So we made our way back to the hotel. That went pretty fast. After Tokyo, it seems that you can move around here in the blink of an eye. ^^ Well, as we got back I felt SO tired, I decided to stay in for the rest of the day. Moving had been exhausting, it was really cold out and that had exhausted me too and I didn't want to wear myself out. So I took the rest of the day off. I switched on the TV again and found an episode of "Hana Yori Dango" running. B.A. went out to stroll around a bit. He got back a few minutes ago. He said it's pretty cold out now. Well, at least I know it now and can dress properly right from the start tomorrow. I think it'll be easier to walk in the cold then. I went down into hte lobby and rented a notebook, so I could write in our room, where it's warm (well, at least it was until B.A. came back ^^" ) and I don't block the computer in case someone else wants to use it.

So, not too many things happened today. But I thought it would be better to rest instead of pushing myself too much. Now I'm really curious about what we'll do tomorrow. Well, Nagoya Castle is, of course, number one on our list. I'll write everything about it.

For today I think I'm done. I'll update again tomorrow.

Hug to everybody! >^_^<

PS: B.A. SO BADLY wanted me to link this with "Butterfly in the porcelain shop", but I refused, since most of the people reading this cannot make the connection and I also wonder whether the idiom really works in English? But then, maybe I should have, after all. After all these hardships, maybe I should spoil him a bit? ^^ So, since I've already made the cut, I thought I'd at least put it here. ^^  Oh, now he's happy. ^^  (He looks almost as cute as Tsuyo when smiling and almost as cute as Koichi when pouting. XDDDD )

LOOOOOOL!!!! B.A. as "ossan". XDDDDDDD
Haha, brilliant. Well, he can't rival Koichi, of course. Although his hair is equally thin. XDDDD Wah, I should not write that. ^^"

HI!!! =3

Merry christmas to you! And to B.A~! Glad to hear you two are still enjoying yourselves and the weather has gotten really nasty here as well. We have I think about.. 5 inches of snow? I took my dog out to play in it earlier and she sank and I could barely see her. Next time I should take a picture. ^^"

Anyway trying not to leave a seriously long comment to you because I have to start cooking food for christmas dinner.. -_- I hate cooking... :3 Your little travelogues are the first thing I read when I wake up in the mmorning. Brightens my day a bit hearing how wonderful you two are doing and how much fun your having. ^^

Bah.. I haven't really said anything remotely related to your trip have I? Sorry my mind is floating around elsewhere right now. I'll do better next time!

Hope you and B.A have a good day today as well.. or is it night? I don't really know. ^^ HAVE A GOOD DAY/NIGHT! <3

Oh, thanks a lot for your comment! Never mind the content. It was cute, though. ^^

I hope cooking went well. I really like to cook, but cooking for many people on a special occasion can be very tiring. ^^"

Wah, I should really get going now, but somehow I don't want to go out into the cold. :P But I'll walk a bit around our area now.

Hugs!

Ahaha.. My comment was cute? *__* I reread what i wrote to you and.. I saw no cuteness just lots of.. random things? x)

Cooking went well. ^^ I had to make food for about.. 8 people plus 3 babies.. Now I feel like sleeping..

I played in the snow again just a bit ago! Make sure you bundle up so you don't get sick~! Have fun walking around and you and B.A enjoy your night~! ...It is night right? xD

HUGS TO YOU TO!!
Hikaru: Gotcha!yoru_no_hikaru on December 26th, 2010 12:44 pm (UTC)
OMG, your icon almost killed me! LOLOLOLOL! XDDDDDDDDD (totally true, isn't it? :P )

Oh, I'm glad to hear that everything worked out. Cooking on holidays is so much stress. And you had quite a few people to feed too. @_@

We have no snow around here, forunately. But I wonder how the weather will be in Kyoto. ^^ If it remains this cold, I'll stay inside and wait for the 31st silently. ^^" Mah, not really, but I'll definitely take it slow.

It's night right now. I think... when you're up it must be... oh, I don't know. And I'm too lazy to check right now. ^^"

Mah, B.A. is still out and I wonder where he keeps strolling about. It's almost 10pm and I'd like to have him back - not to mention that dinner would be much appriciate, I'm starving!!!!! *sighs* Oh well, he's just like that. Have to bear with it. ^^

Oh, did I say that I love your icon? XD
HoldingHandsGay?luna_truths on December 26th, 2010 04:38 pm (UTC)
My... Icon? OH!! Haha. Its great isn't it. xD I laughed so hard when I first saw it. (Yes. It is totally true. Though if I had my way I would have at least one of those idols by now. >.<)

Yes. It worked out. Though I was really sleepy. 3 year olds get angry when their hungry.... It was scary. ;-;

Ah? No snow? Lucky. I don't like the snow. It is WAY to cold for me. Aw! Maybe it will warm up just a bit so you and B.A can stroll around some more.

x) I dunno. I read your entries when I wake up so.. I think when I'm waking up your going to bed? Or getting ready to go to bed? I'm not entirely sure. xDDD

Eh? That late and he's still walking around? Well... who knows. LOL. He'll come back soon! Though I'm sure when you read this he's already back and you've gotten your dinner. ^^

Yes. You mentioned that you love it. xDDD

*senpai-modus anwirft* Wann hast du denn diesen Kommentar geschrieben?! Also, husch husch, ins Bett. ^^" Naja, fuers naechste Mal dann. ^^)

Hi!

Oh, danke!!!!! <333333

:D Neure Bericht folgt. ^^

Ah, Magazine? Any preferences? I can get like everything here. Anyone in particular you want to see in them? ^^ Just tell me.

Haha, B.A. had fun, but he missed a later bus and then had to wait in the cold for about an hour. Some girls from Taiwan felt so sorry for him, they offered him hot coffee. XD But he said it was beautiful. ^^

LOL! XD B.A. wird ausflippen. Oh, aber die Mags sind schon cool! ^^

*seufz* Naja, ich such weiter. ^^
